Our Story

Our therapy practice offers a range of evidence-based approaches tailored to your individual needs and aimed at promoting growth, healing, and overall well-being. In addition to our other services, we also provide, therapeutic massage therapy, Mind-Body Coaching and Holistic Health Coaching.


Established in 2017, Balanced Life Counseling, we are committed to meeting the needs of those we serve in a safe and supportive environment, using a strength-based treatment approach. We realize that each individual is on their journey. When deciding to begin therapy, we want to make the experience as comfortable as possible by customizing services to fit each individual’s needs.

Our approach

We use a variety of treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or CBT, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, or DBT and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, or EMDR. These are empirically based treatments proven to be effective for treatment of many psychological issues.

At Balanced Life Counseling we have a variety of mental health professionals, with different specialties and philosophies. We will work with you to ensure you are paired with the best therapist for your needs.

Therapy Sessions

Therapy sessions are typically 50-55 minutes and are scheduled once a week or bi-weekly. Depending on your specific need, session frequency could be more or less often. We offer both In-person and Telehealth sessions.

At Balanced Life Counseling, our trained therapists provide a safe and confidential place to explore how you can achieve a more meaningful life. We want to help you to resolve emotional issues of the past and the present.

Therapeutic Massage Therapy

Balanced Life Counseling also has a therapeutic massage therapist!

Renee has been practicing massage for the last five years, she utilizes the following techniques in her sessions: Swedish, Reflexology, Eden Energy Medicine, Connective Tissue, Myofascial Release, and Neuromuscular Therapy. She is also trained in Prenatal Massage.

Reness is particularly passionate about the Mindbody connection. Our physical body is a feedback system for what is going on with our thoughts, beliefs, and emotions. Reness is a certified Freedom from Chronic Pain practitioner and have also been trained in Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), also known as “tapping,” and PSYCH-K®. EFT is a self-help tool that involves stimulating acupressure points to calm the nervous system, shift from “fight or flight” into “rest and digest” mode, and lower cortisol levels. PSYCH-K® is a simple, whole-brained approach to changing self-limiting and sabotaging beliefs in the subconscious mind.

Holistic Health & Wellbeing Coach

Amber was a nurse for the past 13 years coupled with a strong passion for whole person-centered care, she became a holistic Health and Wellness Coach to empower men and women on their journey in becoming the absolute best version of themselves they can be.
As your coach, she is here to provide compassionate guidance, support, and accountability along with the strategies, tools and education needed for you to finally get “unstuck” and successfully implement the changes you wish to bring about.

Together you will mindfully navigate through and dissolve your barriers, initiate self-directed incremental doable habits and co-create a plan that fosters the sustainable lifestyle changes necessary to accomplish your goals.
The unknown is scary, and you do not have to do this alone! Having a qualified coach as your ally can be exactly what you need to succeed!

Amber is also a registered Yoga Teacher with the International Yoga Alliance and am currently enrolled in a 200-hour Meditation Teacher course. There are many benefits to Yoga including balance, flexibility and strength as well as lowering stress and improving mood!
